“How do I calm down when my brain won’t shut up?”
First — take a breath.
Why won’t it shut up?
What is it trying to tell you?
Sometimes — and quite often — the thoughts, songs, and flashes of memory in your mind are messages from your subconscious.
So instead of seeing this as a bad thing, try shifting your perspective.
If this is your brain’s way of helping you, what’s the message it’s trying to convey?
For example: when I get a song stuck in my head, it tends to replay the same line.
That line isn’t random — it’s the message I need to hear.
My subconscious uses songs to get my attention.
If you want to feel peace, try listening to the chatter without pushing it away.
You might be surprised by what you learn — and how quickly your mind relaxes once it feels heard.
And remember, peace doesn’t come from silence — it comes from understanding.
